Light can make it really hard to fall and stay asleep. Exposure to light at night can suppress melatonin production and disrupt your sleep-wake cycle.
Sleeping in a dark, quiet room with the right temperature is important. In case you’re wondering, that’s about 65 degrees Fahrenheit (or 18.3 degrees Celsius). If it’s too hot or cold, expect a lot of nighttime awakenings.
